    1. Create a layout of the Plan and Section AA of the project:

    Aim:

    To create a layout of the Plan and Section -AA of the project in Challenge 7, using the template Tutorial-mArch.dwt in a scale as given in the Figure. 

    Introduction:

    The layout is created using the following steps and tools in AutoCAD.

    Procedure:

    • Open the challenge 7 AutoCAD file which was created earlier.

     

    • Zoom the plan area and click the View tab and select new view which shows the following popup. In that give name as PLAN and click ok
    • Zoom the section AA portion and with the above same procedure and give name as SECTION-AA as shown below
    • In the Model view port ribbon, click view port configuration drop down and select Two: Vertical.
    • Click on Named which opens the Viewport dialog box and give the name and settings as shown below
    • That creates the viewport when selecting the above created name on Named view port as shown below.
    • Right click on layout tab and select From template option and follow the following steps
    • The below template will be shown.
    • Right click on ISO A1 Layout tab and rename it as VP-1 PLAN AND SECTION-AA
    • Enter page setup, which opens the page setup manager
    • Click modify and give the below settings
    • Enter rec and create 2 rectangles of dimension 400x445 and 375x445 as shown below
    • Enter mv and specify the corner of the first rectangle and the other end of the rectangle to create viewport and zoom plan
    • Enter mv and specify the corner of the second rectangle and the other end of the rectangle to create viewport and zoom section-AA as shown below
    • In the status bar select the scale as 1:50
    • Enter MV and lock the view port scale
    • Change the layer to dimension and set current as shown below
    • Enter ATTEDIT and edit as shown below in the edit attributes dialog box.
    • Go to AutoCAD icon and click print and select plot and select the following setting for plotting and save it as pdf format

    Results:

    The following result is obtained by the above steps

    2.Create a layout of the kitchen:

    Aim:

    To create a layout of the kitchen in Challenge 10, using the scale given in the Figure with the A4 size sheet and plot.

    Introduction:

    The layout is created using the following steps and tools in AutoCAD.

    Procedure:

    • Open the challenge 10 kitchen layout AutoCAD file which was created earlier.
    • Zoom the above counter plan
    • Click view tab and click new view which displays the new view popup. In that give name and click ok.
    • Like above procedure create 3 more views as show below
    • Select view port configuration as Four: equal
    • Set the created viewports as shown below by clicking each part with their respectively name in the named view drop down in the ribbon.
    • In the model view port click named which opens the view port popup. In that select new view port and give the settings as follow and click ok
    • Enter layout and select new and enter name as Kitchen layout
    • Enter Page setup which displays the page setup manger.
    • Click modify and set the following setting
    • Enter mv and create 4 equal viewport by clicking the starting and opposite corner point. Zoom and adjust the view of the each parts and lock it
    • Go to layer properties and select text layer and enter PS
    • Enter DT to type the text as required.
    • Go to AutoCAD menu and click print and select plot and select the following setting for plotting and save it as pdf format
    • Click ok and browse to save the file.

    Results:

    The following result is obtained by the above steps

    3.Create a layout of the Section- Industrial building:

    Aim:

    To create a layout of the Section created in Challenge 10, using the scale given in the Figure and plot.

    Introduction:

    The layout is created using the following steps and tools in AutoCAD.

    Procedure:

    • Open the challenge 10 Section of Industrial building layout AutoCAD file which was created earlier.
    • Click view tab and click new view which displays the new view popup. In that give name and click ok.
    • By above procedure create 2 more views by zoom to that particular part as show below

     

    • Select view port configuration as Three: Above
    • Set the created viewports as shown below by clicking each part with their respectively name in the named view drop down in the ribbon.
    • In the model view port click named which opens the view port popup. In that select new view port and give the settings as follow and click ok
    • Enter layout and select new and enter name as SECTION-VP
    • Delete the current view in the layout.
    • Enter Page setup which displays the page setup manger.
    • Click modify and set the following setting
    • Enter mv and create Three: above parts by clicking the starting and opposite corner point. Zoom and adjust the view of each part and lock it
    • Go to layer properties and select text layer and enter PS
    • Enter DT to type the text as required.
    • Go to AutoCAD menu, click print, select plot and save it as pdf format
    • Click ok and browse to save the file.
    • Results:
    • The following result is obtained by the above steps
