AIM-  To draw cross section of load bearing wall with spread footing.

    INTRODUCTION-

    • Load bearing wall is generally used where load coming on structure are less.
    • All the coming loads are taken by walls and then transfered to the footing, footing transfers it to soil.
    • Load bearing wall is generally provided with shallow foundation i.e. simple footing, stepped footing or spread footing.
    • Here to draw the cross section of load bearing wall various commands are used like- line, rectangle, offset, dimensions, etc.
    • Line command- Start the Line command by clicking the Line button on the Draw panel on the Ribbon, or by entering L and then pressing Enter. Draw line segments by picking several random points. Terminate the command by pressing Enter, Esc, or the spacebar. Press Enter or the spacebar to repeat the Line command.
    • The Text command is used to display text on the graph screen. the text command is used to give a latex or a formulae to write something.

    PROCEDURE-

    Step 1

    • Open AutoCAD and open tamplet acad.
    • select command rectangle from draw panel.
    • type coordinates 1,1 when it asks to select 1st point, enter.
    • Then type 'd' so as to enter the dimensions of rectangle.
    • then enter lenght as 0.90 and then 0.25 as width of rectangle.
    •

    step 2

    • Firstly on the dynamic input command.
    • Then select line command and select 1st point- left corner of rectangle .
    • then by giving dimensions draw lines.
    • Draw line of 0.40 units then projection of 0.05.
    • Then 0.40 vertical and then 0.4 horizontal.
    • Then vertical again 0.40 and then projection of 0.05. and again 0.04 vertical.
    •

    Step 3

    •  Select line command and draw wall height of the section.
    • i.e. select line command and enter height of 0.6 vertical then 0.05 and then 1.0.

    Step 4

    •  Select offset command from modify panel.
    • enter through distance as 0.3 as wall thickness.
    • and take offset of thses 3 vertical lines as making wall thickness of 0.3
    • Now join the uppermost part of wall thickness by joing ends by line command.

    Step 5

    • Select rectangle command from draw panel.
    • Enter dimensions as 1.15 as length and 0.15 as width
    • And draw the rectangle.

     Step 6

    •  Make sure dynamic input is on.
    • Select line command and select starting as left corner of rectangle (1.15x0.15)
    • Enter dimensions of 0.15 and 0.30 making a steps like structure. i.e. 0.15 vertical and 0.3 horizonal.
    • and escape from line command.
    • Again select line command draw lines of 0.3 crossing line of 0.05 of wall thickness.
    • then draw horizontal line of 0.9 and vertical 0.6 and join the uppermost point of footing.
    •

     Step 7

    • Last select command dimension by typing Dimen in the command line.
    • And by selecting every individual line give dimensions.

     Step 8

    • Now select text option from tab and enter 'Cross section of load bearing wall over spread footing' .

AIM- To draw cross section of isolated footing.

    INTRODUCTION-

    • An isolated footing is one of the most used types of foundation to support single-columns when they are arranged at a long distance.
    • The isolated footing is used to support individual columns.
    • Isolated footings are the most commonly used footings for Reinforced cement concrete column.
    • Types of isolated footing-
      • Flat, Pad, Plain, or Reinforced Isolated Footing
      • Sloped Isolated Footing
      • Stepped isolated Footing
    • To draw cross section of isolated footing commands are used are line, chamfer, offset, etc.

    PROCEDURE-

    Step 1-

    • Select line command and draw 1.0 unit line horizontal and vertical 0.15.
    • Use command chamfer of distance 0 on 1st line and 0.38 on 2nd line.
    • Draw lines of 1.6 units as wall thickness.

    Step 2-

    • Select offset command from madify panel and enter through disance as 0.04 units.
    • Then by selecting lines make desired offsets of 0.04 units.
    • Now extend vertical drawn offsets up to lower side bar lenght by enabling the object snap on.
    • To on object snap type object snap in cammand line and enter then select check box for perpendicular object snap.

    Step 3-

    • Select trim command from modify panel.
    • Then select objects which we need to trim off.
    • and trim the unnessesary lines from bar details.

    Step 4-

    • Give dimensions to the cross section.
    • Select dimension tool from home tab and select annoate dimension.
    • Then change the settings of dimensions as per our requirements.
