AIM:

Design, Analysis & Preparation  of construction drawings. The architectural drawings of a G+3 RCC building as per the given above data.

PROCEDURE:-

  • Open new file in ETABS software
  • setting units as metrics E
  • edit the  grids and story setting as per the dimension of the above plan

  • Set the story-1 as the master story

Define material:

  • Go to define tab > material Property
  • Set th material properties for concrete as M25 and rebar as Fe415

Slab Material:

  • Assigning the load patterns
  • take walls as super dead and earthquake load as seismic load

  • Assign the load combination

  • Draw the beams, columns and slabs

  • Assign the shell load as uniform and set the live load as 2KN/m^2

  • Assigning frame loads of dead load as 3.5KN/m^2

  • Select the slab and provide the diaphragms

  • Longitudinal reinforcement details of the building

  • designing the footing of the building with pie cap
  • For thet we need to for theslab property and name as pile cap and select type as mat and thickness 800mm
  • Set the stiffness for the columns as the thickness of 900mm

  • now we need to provide piles

BEAM :

Coloum Design:

Importing the software SAFE

  1. Go to file click on export and select the safe V12fk.
  2. A tab will appear then click on the story as base and select the loads and loads from above click on the combination click ok,
  3. Go to SAFE 22 and to file click import and select the file and save the file as FDB.
  4. Go to display click on the show loads select dead above and love above the values will be appeared.
  5. Given data:   column of sizes :- 450 x 600 mm & 600mm x 450mm

Pile has a load carring capacity of 280KN

Pile lenght-16m and dia of pile - 500mm

                      SBC -150 KN/m^2

Solution:

  1. Number of piles = Total Axial load/pile capacity = (1.5DL +1.5LL)/280 = numbers
  2. Piles in the spring are defined as spring so far that the spring constant  K = EA/L E = 5000 (fck) ^0.5 = 5000 (25) ^0.5= 25000 N/mm^2                                                        Area of pile  = 22/7 x d^2  = 3.142 x (500)^2/4 = 196375 m^2                                        L - 10000m  k = 25000 x 0.7855 /16 = 306835.9N/mm = 419.
  3. Spacing of the piles as per clause number 6.6.2 of IS 2911 the spacing between the piles =2.5dia of the piles = 2.5 x 500 = 1250mm
  4. Now in the next step we have to define the material properties for  go to defined and define the material propertes of concterte and  reinforcement properties Fe500 & Fe415.
  5. Select the values.
  6. Go to defined section propertie of concrete and  define pile caps, pile Dia, and column
  7. Add new, defined pile cap pile 500 as MAT , and  Column as Stiff.
  8. Click on the quick draw around the plots a window will open there insert the column sizes and these

RESULT:-

As per the given mersurments and reuirements modelling and designing using the  SAFE and ETABS software has been done.
