    PROJECT :

CREATING AN ARCHITECTURAL PLAN FOR THE PROVIDED PLOT SIZE AD DEVELOPED RELEVANT BASIC STRUCTURAL DRAWINGS

     AIM :

DRAW THE BUILDING ARCHITECTURAL PLAN HAVING PLOT SIZE 60'X20' (18.3 M X6 M) AND DEVELOP THE STRUCTURE :

    ARCHITECTURAL DRAWINGS :
    Site plan
    ground floor plan
    first-floor plan
    elevation
    section plan

    STRUCTURAL DRAWING :
    column layout plan
    beam layout plan
    footing layout plan

    DIMENSIONS :

External and internal walls = 250mm

    windows(W1) = 1500x1200mm

    Window(W2) = 1200x1200mm

    The main door (D) = 1200x2100mm

    Door (D1) = 1000x2100mm

    Door (D2) = 900x2100mm

    ventilator (V) = 600x300mm

    columns = 250x350mm

    stepped footing and beams.

    Introduction:

The residential building is to be drawn with plot dimensions of 18.3x6.0m. The G+1 floor is designed as the duplex house with stairs inside the house. The plot is East facing. The building is designed with the following rooms.

The building layout is here with dimensions of 18.3x6m :

    Ground Floor Living Room
    Kitchen (Open)
    Main Bedroom
    Pooja Room
    Staircase to the first floor
    First Floor Living room
    Bedroom-2
    Children Bedroom
    Balcony
    Staircase to roof
The building is designed with a main door at the East face. Initially, layers are created for all the components of the house.

    Procedure:

    1. First set the units in decimal meters Set the limits and zoom all (Command Z). Set the dimension to decimal units and set the precision. Architectural drawing of a residential building.

    2. Drawing the plot, and giving setbacks. Given the plot size of 18.3m x6m.Mark the direction N, S, E, W. By rectangle, draw the plot giving dimensions as 6 and 18.3 m.

    3. Drawing wall offset 0.25 m from the boundary after the setback is taken for the wall thickness.

    4. As the orientation is given as East, the main door should face East. For the living room, give 5m offset horizontally and the size of the room will be 5.5 x 5m.

    5. Draw bedroom and toilet wall offset 3.75m and width of 3.5m joining the living hall wall.

6.The size of kitchen and dining combined is 5.5 x6.15m.

    6. With multiline text, draw the text box, text height as 0.15m, and style as Times Roman.

    7. Place the doors and windows in their respective places.

    8. The ground floor of a building is divided into a kitchen, dining, living hall, and one bedroom and toilet.

Then the steps are inside the building that is called a duplex building,

and finally, the ground floor of the building is finished.

The layer is used to differentiate the objects of a building and their properties.

    9. The 1st floor of the building is divided into the master bedroom with an attached toilet and balcony is also there,

then the remaining portion is divided into pooja room, living hall, and the children's bedroom.

    10. Elevation part of the Projecting lines to draw the elevation. Project the wall lines to the top.

    11. Draw a horizontal line. Offset 1 m for the plinth level. Offset 2.1m for the Lintel level. Offset 3.0m for the floor level. Offset 1m for the parapet wall .

    12. Draw the doors and windows where exactly are on the same level in the plan and project the lines by using XL command,

and draw the windows and doors neatly with their respective height.

    13. Using the hatch command, hatch walls with the bricks and hatch the windows also.

    14. Take the projection from the plan and elevation by using the XL command and create a section layout of a building.

    15. Project the lines from the elevation for the height and from the section line of the plan for the horizontal members.

    16. Drawing windows, doors, and stairs in section. Draw the window and door which we see after cutting the section line.

    17. Using hatch the walls with the bricks hatch and the foundation with the concrete hatch.
Place the windows and foundations in the respective layers and give colors.

18.. Trim off the extension lines and make shutters and panels for doors and windows. For architectural purposes, create some hatches.

    19. Project the lines from the elevation for the height and from the section line of a plan for the horizontal members. Drawing windows, doors, and stairs in section.

    20. Using hatch the walls with the bricks hatch and the foundation with the concrete hatch.

    21. Finally the section of a building is done :

    Structural drawings:

    1. Column layout: A column of size 0.25m x0.35m is considered. Columns are placed in all corners of the wall and intersection of walls wherever required.

    2. Now draw the center line for the column from the annotate tab -center line and mark the grid line as 1,2 in the y direction and A, B, C, D, E, F in the x direction.

    3. Footing Layout: Isolated footing of size 1.1m x1.1m is provided. Create a rectangle with dimensions 1.1x1.1 m, and place the center of the rectangle with the center of the column.

    4. Drawing of the plinth beam connects the columns by a beam of width 0.25m, as the wall thickness is 0.25. A plinth beam is provided below all the walls.

    5. Create a layer for the beam and put the plinth beam in that layer.

    6. The column and footing layout is here :

    7. Then the column with the beam layout is here :

    Result:

The architectural and structural plan of a residential building is drawn:
