    DRAWING 1 - DECIMAL

    AIM :- Drafting the given geometrical figure using Chamfer or fillet or obeject snap options etc.

    INTRODUCTION :- 

    PROCEDURE :-

    STEP 1.

    1. Open the AutoCAD software and click on new for a new drawing sheet.
    2.  Enter UNITS in command box.
    3.  Select DECIMAL in TYPE, 0.00 in PRECISION and METERS in UNITS TO SCALE INSERTED CONTENT. Press OK.

    STEP 2 

    1. Turn off the ortho mode.
    2. L for the Line command.
    3. set the coordinate of origin as 0,0.
    4. Drag the mouse rightwards.
    5. type 3 as the length of line and press enter
    6. press escape.

    STEP 3

    1. Type OS in the command bar for object snap.
    2. Go to polar tracking settings in the dialogue box.
    3. There change the angle increment as 45 degree and can also add 135 degree in additional angle option.
    4. Also keep polar tracking mode.
    5. Then back to drawing sheet and L for the Line command.
    6. start the line from the right end of the previosly drawn line.
    7. Drag the mouse upwards and Then polar tracking shows the 135 degree angle indication  as a dotted green line.
    8. Then type 2.12 in the command bar as the length fo line and press enter key.

    STEP 4 

    1. For the next line drag the mouse slightly left.
    2. As the angle increment is 45 degrees it indicates the 45 degree angle just as in the previous figure.
    3. Then type 2.83 in the command bar as the length fo line and press enter key. 

    STEP 5 

    1. This time turn on the ortho mode using F8 key or from the status bar.
    2. type 2.00 as the length of line in the command box.
    3. press enter.

     STEP 6

    1. Typing C  and enter key will enclose the figure.
    2. Press escape.

    STEP 7

    1. Now type C or circle in the command box for circle.
    2. Now Type 1.5 , 1 as centre of circle and press enter key.
    3. Now in the command bar type D for diameter of circle.
    4. Assign the diameter of circle as 1.20 and press enter.

     

    STEP 8

    1. Now type C or circle in the command box for circle.
    2. Now Type 1.5 , 2.5 as centre of circle and press enter key.
    3. Now in the command bar type D for diameter of circle.
    4. Assign the diameter of circle as 0.8 and press enter.

    STEP 8

    1. Enter DIMS in the command box.
    2. Click Modify
    3. Click SYMBOLS AND ARROWS. Enter 0.05 in Arrow size.
    4. Click TEXT. Enter 0.05 in Text height.
    5. Click OK.
    6. Select STANDARD in Style. Click SET CURRENT. Click close.
    7. Enter DIM in command box.
    8. Click the first point and second point of the object. Drag it to the desired location. The dimension will be fixed in the preferred location in the workspace.
    9. Drag the dimension ofall the objects in the workspace which are located in the given diagram.

    RESULT.

    After following above steps and providing dimesions the following figure is obtained.

     

    DRAWING 2 - ARCHITECTURAL

    AIM :- Drafting the given geometrical figure using Chamfer or fillet or obeject snap options etc.

    INTRODUCTION :- 

    PROCEDURE :-

    STEP 1.

    1. Open the AutoCAD software and click on new for a new drawing sheet.
    2.  Enter UNITS in command box.
    3. TYPE, 0'0.0" in PRECISION and feet or inches in UNITS TO SCALE INSERTED CONTENT. Press OK.
    4. Also select engineering in Dimension style.

     

    STEP 2

    1. Before start drafting ortho mode turned off.
    2. Type OS in the command bar for object snap.
    3. Go to polar tracking settings in the dialogue box.
    4. There change the angle increment as 45 degree and can also add 135 degree in additional angle option.
    5. Also keep polar tracking mode.
    6. Then back to drawing sheet.

    STEP 3

    1. L for the line  and type 0,0  as origin and enter.
    2.  Drag the mouse upwards and Then polar tracking shows the 45 degree  angle indication  as a dotted green line.
    3. Then type 2'6"  in the command bar as the length fo line and press enter key.

    STEP 4

    1. Turn on ortho mode.(f8)
    2. Now drag mouse upwards.
    3. Type length as 1'9" in the command box.
    4. Press enter.

    STEP 5

    1. keep ortho mode on.
    2. drag mouse leftwards.
    3. In the command box type 8' as the length of line.
    4. Press enter.

    STEP 6

    1. keep ortho mode on.
    2. drag mouse downwards
    3. In the command box type 2'5" as the length of line.
    4. Press enter.

    STEP 7

    1. Turn off ortho mode.
    2. Then type @3'<300 in the command bar as the length fo line and angle
    3. press enter key.

    STEP 8

    1. Then type @2'6"<30 in the command bar as the length to line and press enter key.
    2. And in the command box type C and enter.

    STEP 9

    1. Enter DIMS in the command box.
    2. Click Modify
    3. Click SYMBOLS AND ARROWS. Enter 0.05 in Arrow size.
    4. Click TEXT. Enter 0.05 in Text height.
    5. Click OK.
    6. Select STANDARD in Style. Click SET CURRENT. Click close.
    7. Enter DIM in command box.
    8. Click the first point and second point of the object. Drag it to the desired location. The dimension will be fixed in the preferred location in the workspace.
    9. Drag the dimension ofall the objects in the workspace which are located in the given diagram.

    4.Result

    After following above steps and providing dimesions the following figure is obtained.

    DRAWING 3 - ENGINEERING

    AIM :- Drafting the given Engineering figure using Chamfer or fillet or obeject snap options etc.

    PROCEDURE :-

         
    STEP 1

    1.  Go to START MENU, select AutoCAD 2022.
    2.  In the Command line type in: STARTUP [ENTER]
    3.  Enter new value of startup: 1
    4.  Go to Application Menu and select New
    5.  In the 'Create New Drawing dialog box, we do the Advanced Setup and select the 'Engineering' unit of measurement and select precision as '0'-0.0"
    6. Enter 'UNITS' command in the command tab.
    7.  In the Drawing Units dialog box, select 'Engineering' in Type;'0'-0.0"'in Precision; and 'Inches' in Insertion scale.
    8. Click on 'OK:


    STEP 2

    1.  Select the Line tool by entering 'LINE' command in the command tab.
    2.  Specify the first point as 0'0.0",0'0.0" in the command line.
    3.  Specify the coordinate of next point as @5'0.1",0'0.0"in the command line.
    4.  Specify the coordinate of next point as @0'0.0",3'3.0" in the command line.
    5.  Specify the coordinate of next point as @-5'0.1",0'0.0" in the command line.
    6. Click Close' on the command line.

    STEP 3

    1. Select the Chamfer tool by entering 'CHAMFER' command in the command tab.
    2. Select the 'Angle' option in the command line.
    3. Specify the chamfer length for first line as 16.0".
    4. Specify the angle from first line as 125.
    5. Select the first chamfer line.
    6. Select the 'Distance' option on the command line
    7. Specify the first chamfer distance as 19.0".
    8. Specify the second chamfer distance as 2'5.6".
    9. Then select the second line.

    STEP 4

    1. Select the Circle tool by entering 'CIRCLE' command in the command tab.
    2. Specify the centre point of circle as 13.0",16.0" in the command line.
    3. Select the Diameter option in the command line.
    4. Specify diameter of circle as 16.0".
    5. Specify center point for circle or [3/2P/Ttr (tan tan radius)]: 193.8",
    6. Specify radius of circle or (inter):
    7. Specify diameter of circle 16.0

    STEP 5

    1. Enter DIMS in the command box.
    2. Click Modify
    3. Click SYMBOLS AND ARROWS. Enter 0.05 in Arrow size.
    4. Click TEXT. Enter 0.05 in Text height.
    5. Click OK.
    6. Select STANDARD in Style. Click SET CURRENT. Click close.
    7. Enter DIM in command box.
    8. Click the first point and second point of the object. Drag it to the desired location. The dimension will be fixed in the preferred location in the workspace.
    9. Drag the dimension ofall the objects in the workspace which are located in the given diagram.

    RESULT

    After following above steps and providing dimesions the following figure is obtained

     DRAWING 4

    AIM :- Drafting the given figure using Chamfer or fillet or line or obeject snap options etc.

    INTRODUCTION:- The given geometry is created in AutoCAD using primarily the Line tool. The procedure of drawing is explained in detail with diagrams of each step and the final result is given.


    PROCEDURE

    STEP 1

    1.  Go to START MENU, select AutoCAD .
    2.  In the Command line type in: STARTUP [ENTER]
    3.  Enter new value of startup: 1
    4.  Go to Application Menu and select New
    5.  In the 'Create New Drawing' dialog box, we do the Advance Setup and select the 'Decimal' unit of measurement
    6.  Enter 'UNITS command in the command tab.
    7.  In the Drawing Units dialog box, select 'Decimal' in Type; '0.00'in Precision; and 'Meters' in Insertion scale.
    8. Click on 'OK


    STEP 2

    1.  Select the Line tool by entering 'LINE' command in the command tab.
    2.  Specify the first point as 0,0 in the command line.
    3.  Specify the coordinate of next point as @3.00,0.00 in the command line.
    4.  Specify the coordinate of next point as @0.00,-0.50 in the command line.
    5.  Specify the coordinate of next point as c2.50,0.00 in the command line.
    6.  Specify the coordinate of next point as @0.00,2.50 in the command line.
    7.  Specify the coordinate of next point as @-2.00,0.00 in the command line.
    8.  Specify the coordinate of next point as @0.00,3.00 in the command line.
    9.  Specify the coordinate of next point as @-2.50,0.00 in the command line.
    10.  Specify the coordinate of next point as @0.00,-2.00 in the command line.
    11.  Specify the coordinate of next point as @-1.00,0.00 in the command line.
    12.  Click "Close' on the command line.

    STEP 3

    1. Enter DIMS in the command box.
    2. Click Modify
    3. Click SYMBOLS AND ARROWS. Enter 0.05 in Arrow size.
    4. Click TEXT. Enter 0.05 in Text height.
    5. Click OK.
    6. Select STANDARD in Style. Click SET CURRENT. Click close.
    7. Enter DIM in command box.
    8. Click the first point and second point of the object. Drag it to the desired location. The dimension will be fixed in the preferred location in the workspace.
    9. Drag the dimension ofall the objects in the workspace which are located in the given diagram.

    RESULT

    After following above steps and providing dimesions the following figure is obtained 

    DRAWING 5


    AIM: To create the Geometry 5 using AutoCAD.

    INTRODUCTION: The geometry 5 units using AutoCAD is created by Lines and Circles. The procedure and result should be written after creating the Geometry 5.

    PROCEDURE

    STEP 1

    1. Open the AutoCAD software and click start Drawing tab.
    2.  Enter UNITS in command box.
    3.  Select DECIMAL in TYPE, 0.00 in PRECISION and METERS in UNITS TO SCALE INSERTED CONTENT. Press OK.
    4.  Switch on orthomode.
    5.  Enter L in command box.
    6.  Enter 0,0 as first point.
    7.  Enter @11.50,0.00 as next point.
    8.  Enter @0.00,6.00 as next point.
    9.  Enter @-11.50,0.00 as next point.
    10.  Enter @0.00, -6.00 as next point.
    11.  Press ENTER or Click CLOSE.

    STEP 2

    1. Enter O in command box.
    2.  Enter 3.00 as offset distance.
    3.  Select left line and drag it at 3.00 distance.
    4.  Select right line and drag it at 3.00 distance.
    5.  Press ENTER or Click EXIT.


    STEP 3

    1. Click Circle, Diameter in ribbon.
    2.  Enter 1.50,3.00 as centre point for circle.
    3.  Enter 2.00 as diameter of circle.
    4.  Enter O and click layer.
    5.  Click source and enter 0.50 as offset distance.
    6.  Select the circle and click point inside the circle.
    7. Press ENTER or Click EXIT.

     

    STEP 4

    1. Click Circle, Diameter in ribbon.
    2. Enter 5.75,3.00 as centre point for circle.
    3. Enter 3.00 as diameter of circle.

    STEP 5

    1. Click Circle, Diameter in ribbon.
    2. Enter 10.00,3.00 as centre point for circle.
    3. Enter 2.00 as diameter of circle.
    4. Enter O and click layer.
    5. Click source and enter 0.50 as offset distance.
    6. Select the circle and click point inside the circle.
    7. Press ENTER or Click EXIT.

    1. Enter DIMS in the command box.
    2. Click Modify
    3. Click SYMBOLS AND ARROWS. Enter 0.05 in Arrow size.
    4. Click TEXT. Enter 0.05 in Text height.
    5. Click OK.
    6. Select STANDARD in Style. Click SET CURRENT. Click close.
    7. Enter DIM in command box.
    8. Click the first point and second point of the object. Drag it to the desired location. The dimension will be fixed in the preferred location in the workspace.
    9. Drag the dimension ofall the objects in the workspace which are located in the given diagram.

    RESULT

    After following above steps and providing dimesions the following figure is obtained

    6) DRAWING 6

    AIM: To create the  given gemetrical figure using  using AutoCAD.

    INTRODUCTION: The geometry 6 units using AutoCAD is created by Lines. The procedure and result should be written after creating the Geometry 6.

    PROCEDURE:

    STEP 1 OF DRAWING 1:

    1.  Open the AutoCAD software and click start Drawing tab.
    2.  Enter UNITS in command box.
    3.  Select DECIMAL in TYPE, O.O in PRECISION and METERS in UNITS TO SCALE INSERTED CONTENT. Press OK.
    4.  Switch on orthomode.
    5.  Enter L in command box.

    STEP 2 OF DRAWING 1:

    1.  Enter 0,0 as first point.
    2.  Enter @2.0,0.0 as next point.
    3.  Enter @0.0,1.5 as next point.
    4.  Enter @2.0.0.0 as next point.
    5.  Enter @0.0, -1.5 as next point.
    6.  Press ENTER or Click CLOSE.

    STEP 3 OF DRAWING 1:

    1. Enter O and 0.5 as offset distance.
    2.  Select the line and drag it as 0.5 distance.
    3.  Select the upper line and drag it at 0.5 distance.
    4.  Press ENTER or click EXIT.

    STEP 4 OF DRAWING 1:

    1.  Enter TR and press ENTER.
    2.  Click EDGE and EXTEND.
    3.  Click the extruded lines
    4.  Press ENTER

    STEP 5 OF DRAWING 1:

    1. Enter DIMS in the command box.
    2. Click Modify
    3. Click SYMBOLS AND ARROWS. Enter 0.05 in Arrow size.
    4. Click TEXT. Enter 0.05 in Text height.
    5. Click OK.
    6. Select STANDARD in Style. Click SET CURRENT. Click close.
    7. Enter DIM in command box.
    8. Click the first point and second point of the object. Drag it to the desired location. The dimension will be fixed in the preferred location in the workspace.
    9. Drag the dimension ofall the objects in the workspace which are located in the given diagram

    STEP 1 OF DRWAING 2:

    1.  Enter L in command box.
    2.  Enter 0,0 as first point.
    3.  Enter @2.0,0.0 as next point.
    4.  Enter @0.0,1.5 as next point.
    5.  Enter @-1.5,0.0 as next point.
    6.  Enter @0.0, -1.0 as next point.
    7.  Enter @-1.5,0.0 as next point.
    8.  Enter @1.5,0.0 as next point.
    9.  Press ENTER or click CLOSE.
    10.  Enter L in command box.
    11.  Enter @0.0,1.0 as first point.
    12.  Enter @1.5,0.0 as next point.
    13.  Press ENTER or click CLOSE.

    STEP 2 OF DRAWING 2:

    1.  Specify the two chamfer distance using DIMLIN.
    2.  Enter CHA and click DISTANCE.
    3.  Enter 1.5 as first chamfer distance.
    4.  Enter 1.0 as second chamfer distance.
    5. Select the first line
    6.  Select DISTANCE in second line.
    7.  Enter 1.5 as first chamfer distance.
    8.  Enter 1.0 as second chamfer distance.
    9.  Select the second line

    STEP 3 OF DRAWING 2:

    1.  Enter DIMLIN.
    2.  Press ENTER.

    STEP 1 OF DRAWING 3:

    1. Enter L in command box.
    2. Enter @0,0 as first point.
    3. Enter @1.5,0.0 as next point.
    4. Enter @0.0,1.5 as next point.
    5. Enter @-1.5,0.0 as next point.
    6. Enter @0.0,-1.5 as next point.
    7. Press ENTER or click CLOSE.

     STEP 2 OF DRAWING 3:

    1. Enter O and 0.5 as offset distance.
    2. Select the lowest horizontal line and drag it at 0.5 distance.
    3. Select the vertical line and drag it at 0.5 distance two times.
    4. Press ENTER.


    STEP 3 OF DRAWING 3:

    1. Enter TR in command box. 
    2. Click EDGE and EXTEND.
    3. Select extruded lines 
    4. Press ENTER. 
    5. Enter DIMLIN and mention dimensions.
    6. Press ENTER.

    RESULT:

    The Geometry 6 using AutoCAD is created by Lines using AutoCAD. The step-by-step procedure for creating geometry 6 is also explained. The Dimension and heading are also entered in the diagram.

    AIM: To create the Geometry 7 using AutoCAD.

    INTRODUCTION: The geometry 7 units using AutoCAD is created by Lines, Arcs, Circles and Rectangle. The procedure and result should be written after creating the Geometry 7.

    PROCEDURE:

    STEP 1:

    1. Open the AutoCAD software and click start Drawing tab.
    2. Enter UNITS in command box.
    3. Select DECIMAL in TYPE. 0.00 in PRECISION and METERS in UNITS TO SCALE INSERTED CONTENT. Press 0K.

    STEP 2:

    1. Switch on orthomode.
    2. Enter L in command box.
    3.  Enter 0,0 as first point.
    4.  Enter @70,0 as next paint
    5. Enter @0,40 as next point
    6. Enter @90,0 as next paint
    7. Enter @0, -15 as next point
    8. Enter @50,0 as next point
    9. Enter @0,75 as next point
    10. Enter @-210.0 as next paint
    11. Enter @0, -100 as next paint
    12. Press ENTER or CLOSE

    STEP 3:

    1. click arc tool in the ribbon
    2. Click START, END. RADIUS from  the dropdown.
    3.  Click start and end peint.
    4.  Enter 35 as radius.
    5. click arc tool in the ribbon
    6. Click START, END. RADIUS from  the dropdown.
    7. Enter 25 as radius.

     

    STEP 4:

    1.  Click Circle, Diameter in RIBBON.
    2. Enter 35,0 as centre
    3. Enter 50 as diameter
    4. Click Circle, Diameter in RIBBON.
    5. Enter 185,25 as centre
    6.  Enter 30 as diameter
    7. Delete two unconnected lines.

    STEP 5:

    1. Enter F and select radius.
    2. Enter 20 as fillet radius.
    3. Select 1st object and 2nd object
    4. Enter F and select radius.
    5. Enter 6 as fillet radius.
    6. Select 1st abject and 2nd object
    7. Enter F and select radius.
    8. Enter 15 as fillet radius.
    9. Select 1st abject and 2nd object

    STEP 6:

    1. Enter REC
    2. Enter 20,90 as first corner point.
    3. Click Dimension
    4. Enter 70 as length and 30 as width
    5. Enter 90,60 as another corner point
    6. Enter REC 
    7. Enter 120,90 as first corner point. 
    8. Click Dimension
    9. Enter 70 as length and 30 as width
    10. Enter 190,60 as another corner point.

    STEP 7:

    1. Enter DIMS in the command box.
    2. Click Modify
    3. Click SYMBOLS AND ARROWS. Enter 0.05 in Arrow size.
    4. Click TEXT. Enter 0.05 in Text height.
    5. Click OK.
    6. Select STANDARD in Style. Click SET CURRENT. Click close.
    7. Enter DIM in command box.
    8. Click the first point and second point of the object. Drag it to the desired location. The dimension will be fixed in the preferred location in the workspace.
    9. Drag the dimension ofall the objects in the workspace which are located in the given diagram

     RESULT

    The DRAWING 7 using AutoCAD is created by Lines,CIRCLES,ARCS,FILLET  using AutoCAD. The step-by-step procedure for creating DRAWING 7 is also explained. The Dimension and heading are also entered in the diagram.

    AIM: To create the Geometry 8 using AutoCAD.

    INTRODUCTION: The geometry 8 units using AutoCAD is created by Lines, Arcs, Circles and Object snapping. The procedure and result should be written after creating the Geometry 8.

    PROCEDURE:

    STEP 1:

    1. Open the AutoCAD software and click start Drawing tab.
    2. Enter UNITS in command box.
    3. Select DECIMAL in TYPE. 0.00 in PRECISION and METERS in UNITS TO SCALE INSERTED CONTENT. Press 0K.

     

    STEP 2

    1. Select the Line tool by entering 'LINE' command in the command tab.
    2. Specify the first point as 5,5 In the command line.
    3. Specify the coord nate of next point as @8.55,0.00 in the command line.
    4. Press 'Esc' to cancel the Line tool.
    5. Select the Circle tool by entering 'CIRCLE command in the command tab.
    6. Specify the centre point of circle as mid-point of the line drawn previously.
    7. Select the Diameter option in the command line.
    8. Specify diameter of circle as 5.00.
    9. Select the Offset tool by entering OFFSET' command in the command tab.
    10. Enter 0.500 as offset distance in the command line.
    11. Select the circle of diameter 5 units.
    12. Click on the inside of the circle.
    13. Press 'Esc' to cancel the OFFSET command.

     STEP 3

    1.  Select the Circle tool by entering ‘CIRCLE’ command in the command tab
    2.  Specify the centre point of circle as the start-point of the line of length 8.55 units created in the above drawing
    3.  Select the Diameter option in the command line.
    4. Specify diameter of circle as 0.90.
    5. Select the Circle tool again by entering ‘CIRCLE’ command in the command tab.
    6. Specify the centre point of circle as the end-point of the line of length 8.55 units created in the previous step.
    7. Select the Diameter option in the command line.
    8. Specify diameter of circle as 0.90.

     STEP 4

    1. Select the Circle tool by entering CIRCLE' command in the command tab.
    2. Specify the centre point of circle as the start-point of the line of length 8.55 units created in step 2.
    3. Specify radius of circle as 0.90. 
    4. Select the Circle tool again by entering CIRCLE' command in the command tab. 
    5. Specify the centre point of circle as the end-point of the line of length 8.55 units created in step 2. 
    6. Specify radius of circle as 0.90.

     STEP 5

    1. Enter 'OSNAP' in the command line.
    2. In the Draftiing Settings dialog box, under Object Snap option, deselect all the snap modes and turn on only the Tangent mode.
    3. Select the Line tool by entering 'LINE' command in the command tab. 
    4. Draw a line joining the tangent points of the circle of radius 0.90 on the right side and the circle of diameter 5.00. 
    5. Press 'Esc' to cancel the Line tool.
    6. Repeat the above procedure to draw all four tangents.
    7. Press 'Esc to cancel the Line tool.
    8. Select the Trim tool by entering TR' command in the command tab.
    9. Press ENTER.
    10. Select Edge option; and click on No Extend. 
    11. Select the unwanted lines to be trimed. 
    12. Press 'Esc' to cancel the TRIM command.

    STEP 6:

    1. Enter DIMS in the command box.
    2. Click Modify
    3. Click SYMBOLS AND ARROWS. Enter 0.05 in Arrow size.
    4. Click TEXT. Enter 0.05 in Text height.
    5. Click OK.
    6. Select STANDARD in Style. Click SET CURRENT. Click close.
    7. Enter DIM in command box.
    8. Click the first point and second point of the object. Drag it to the desired location. The dimension will be fixed in the preferred location in the workspace.
    9. Drag the dimension ofall the objects in the workspace which are located in the given diagram

    AIM: To create the Geometry 9 using AutoCAD.

    INTRODUCTION: The geometry 9 units using AutoCAD is created by Lines,  Circles and Object snapping. The procedure and result should be written after creating the Geometry 9.

    PROCEDURE:

     

     

    STEP 1

    1.  Go to START MENU, select AutoCAD 2022.
    2.  In the Command line type in: STARTUP [ENTER]
    3.  Enter new value of startup: 1
    4.  Go to Application Menu and select New
    5.  In the 'Create New Drawing dialog box, we do the Advanced Setup and select the 'Engineering' unit of measurement and select precision as '0'-0.0"
    6. Enter 'UNITS' command in the command tab.
    7.  In the Drawing Units dialog box, select 'Engineering' in Type;'0'-0.0"'in Precision; and 'Inches' in Insertion scale.
    8. Click on 'OK:

     

    STEP 2

    1. Select the Line tool by entering 'LINE' command in the command tab.
    2. Specify the first point as 10',10' in the command line.
    3. Specify the coordinate of next point as in the command line.
    4. Press 'Esc' to cancel the Line tool.
    5. Select the Circle tool by entering 'CIRCLE command in the command tab.
    6. Specify the centre point of circle as the start-point of the line of length 32'6" units created before.
    7. Specify radius of circle as 8'
    8. Select the Circle tool again by entering 'CIRCLE' command in the command tab.
    9. Specify the centre point of circle as the end-paint of the line of length 32'6" units.
    10. Specify radius of circle as 9'.


    STEP 3

    1. Select the Circle tool by entering 'CIRCLE command in the command tab.
    2. Specify the centre point of circle as the centre of the circle of radius 8' drawn in step 2.
    3. Specify radius of circle as 33'8"
    4. Select the Circle tool again by entering 'CIRCLE' command in the command tab.
    5. Specify the centre point of circle at the centre of the circle of radius 9' drawn in step 2.
    6. Specify radius of circle as 32'8"
    7. Again select the Circle tool again by entering 'CIRCLE' command in the command tab.
    8. Specify the centre of the circle at the point of intersection of the circles of radii 33'8" and 32'8".
    9. Specify the radius of the circle as 41'8".

     STEP 4

    1. Select the Circle tool by entering 'CIRCLE command in the command tab.
    2. Select the 'tan tan radius' option in the command line.
    3. Specify the first tangent at the boatom of the left circle.
    4. Specify the second tangent at the bottom of the right circle.
    5. Specify the radius of the circle as 20'10"
    6. Select the Trim tool by entering TR' command in the command tab.
    7. Press ENTER.
    8. Select Edge option; and click an No Extend.
    9. Select the unwanted lines to be trimmed.
    10. Press 'Esc' to cancel the TRIM command.

     

    STEP 6:

    1. Enter DIMS in the command box.
    2. Click Modify
    3. Click SYMBOLS AND ARROWS. Enter 0.05 in Arrow size.
    4. Click TEXT. Enter 0.05 in Text height.
    5. Click OK.
    6. Select STANDARD in Style. Click SET CURRENT. Click close.
    7. Enter DIM in command box.
    8. Click the first point and second point of the object. Drag it to the desired location. The dimension will be fixed in the preferred location in the workspace.

    2. Enter UNITS in command box.
    3. Select DECIMAL in TYPE. 0.00 in PRECISION and METERS in UNITS TO SCALE INSERTED CONTENT. Press 0K.

    STEP 2

    1. Select the Rectangle tool by entering 'RECTANG command in the command tab.
    2. Specify the first point as 5.5 in the command line.
    3. Select Dimensions option in the command line.
    4. Specify length of rectangle as 10 in the command line.
    5. Specify width of rectangle as 10 in the command line.
    6. Move the cursor towards the upward and click ENTER
    7. Select the Offset tool by entering OFFSET' command in the command tab.
    8. Enter 0.5 as offset distance in the command line.
    9. Select the rectangle of Size 10 x 10.
    10. Click on the inside of the rectangle.
    11. Press 'Esc' to cancel the OFFSET command.

    STEP 3

    1. Select the Copy tool by entering COPY' command in the command tab.
    2. Select the drawing created in step 2.
    3. Specify the base point and click ENTER.
    4. Select the Rotate tool by entering 'RO command in the command tab.
    5. Selectthe copied object and specify the base point.
    6. Specify rotation angle as 45.
    7. Select the Move tool by entering 'M' command in the command tab.
    8. Select the rotated oblect and specify the base paint.
    9. Move the object to the desired location (Keep Ortho mode off).
    10. Select the Trim tool by entering TR' command in the command tab.
    11. Press ENTER.
    12. Select Edge option; and click an No Extend.
    13. Select the unwanted lines to be trimed.
    14. Press 'Esc' to cancel the TRIM command.

    RESULT

    AIM: To create the Geometry 11 using AutoCAD.

    5. Specify the coordinate of next point as @3,0' in the command line. 
    6. Specify the coordinate of next point as @0,-4'6" in the command line. 
    7. Specify the coordinate of next point as @4'6",0' in the command line.
    8. Specify the coordinate of next point as @0,1'2" in the command line. 
    9. Specify the coordinate of next point as @5'4",0' in the command line. 
    10. Specify the coordinate of next point as @0,-1'2" in the command line
    11. Specify the coordinate of next point as @4'6",0' in the command line.
    12. Specify the coordinate of next point as @0',4'6" in the command line.
    13. Specify the coordinate of next point as @3,0' in the command line.
    14. Specify the coordinate of next point as @0,9' in the command line.
    15. Specify the coordinate of next point as m-3,0' in the command line (point b). 
    16. Press 'Esc' to cancel the Line tool.

     STEP 3

    1. Turn Ortho off, and Click on the Polar Tracking from the status bar and select 30,60,90... from the drop down list.
    2. Select the Line tool by entering 'LINE' command in the command tab,
    3. Specify the first point at b, then pointing the cursor downward enter a length of 3'7". 
    4. Next, pointing the cursor towards left draw a line of any arbitrary length of over 2. 
    5. Press 'Esc' to cancel the Line tool. 
    6. Select the Mirror tool by entering 'MIRROR command in the command tab.
    7. Select the objects to mirror (ie, the line drawn just before) and click ENTER. 
    8. Select first point of mirror line.
    9. Select second point of mirror line. 
    10. Click No in the "Erase source object?" prompt.
    11. Again click on the Polar Tracking from the status bar and select 45,90,135... from the drop down list.
    12. Select the Line tool by entering 'LINE' command in the command tab.
    13. Specify the first point at a, then pointing the cursor downward enter a length of 2'8".
    14. Next, pointing the cursor towards left draw a line of any arbitrary length of over 3'
    15. Press 'Esc' to cancel the Line tool. 
    16. Select the Mirror tool by entering 'MIRROR' command in the command tab.
    17. Select the objects to mirror (ie the line drawn just before) and click ENTER.
    18. Select first point of mirror line. 
    19. Select second point of mirror line. 
    20. Click No in the "Erase source object?" prompt.
    21. Select the Line tool, and join the two open ends of the drawing. 
    22. Press 'Esc' to cancel the Line tool.
    23. Again select the Line tool and draw lines bisecting both the angles.
    24. Press 'Esc' to cancel the Line tool.

     


    STEP 4

    1. Trim and Erase the unwanted lines in the drawing, 
    2. Select the Line tool and draw a line from the midpoint of the base line, such thta it divides the geometry into two halves. 
    3. Press 'Esc' to cancel the Line tool.
    4. Select the Rectangle tool by entering 'RECTANG' command in the command tab. 
    5. Specify the first point as 7'2",-9' (i.e. coordinates from point a)in the command line.
    6. Select Dimensions option in the command line.
    7. Specify length of rectangle as 3' in the command line. 
    8. Specify width of rectangle as 3' in the command line.
    9. Move the cursor towards the upward and click ENTER.
    10. Select the Rotate tool by entering 'RO' command in the command tab.
    11. Select the rectangle of size 3' x 3' and specify the base point at the bottom left corner of the rectangle. 
    12. Using Polar Tracking, rotate the rectangle to an angle of 45 about the middle line.

    STEP 5

    STEP 6:

    1. Enter DIMS in the command box.
    2. Click Modify
    3. Click SYMBOLS AND ARROWS. Enter 0.05 in Arrow size.
    4. Click TEXT. Enter 0.05 in Text height.
    5. Click OK.
    6. Select STANDARD in Style. Click SET CURRENT. Click close.
    7. Enter DIM in command box.
    8. Click the first point and second point of the object. Drag it to the desired location. The dimension will be fixed in the preferred location in the workspace.
    9. Drag the dimension ofall the objects in the workspace which are located in the given diagram
