    Aim: 

    • To Perform Form-finding and structural analysis structure of multiple masts.

    Procedure:

    • Open the RFEM software and input the required settings

     

     

    • Set the units to metric system

     

     

    • Tick the Form Finding option 

     

     

    • Insert the nodes at required locations

     

     

    • Connect the lines with nodes

     

     

    • Assign the Nodal Supports

     

     

    • Assign cable material to all the lines

     

     

    • Assign the surface to the membrane using Quadrangle surfaces

     

     

    • Assign the material to the surface

     

     

    • Give the Orthotropic Membrane properties

     

     

    • Apply the pre-stress of 0.8 KN/sq.mm on the conical as well as the connecting surfaces.

     

     

     

     

     

    • Change the local Axes of each surface

     

     

    • Now Go FE mesh settings and apply Triangular Mesh

     

     

     

    • Global Deformations

     

    • Internal Stresses

     

     

     

    • Principal Stresses

     

     

    • Axial Forces

     

     

    • Support Reactions

     

     

     Result:

    • Performed the Form-Finding and structural analysis for multiple masts
