    Creating a Residence Layout, Seating plan, Toilet and Utility room plan using Auto Cad

    1. Residence Plan:

     Sketch the layout of a residence as shown in the Figure 1. Consider all dimensions as reference to sketch the unit plan. Also the text in the layout are only for reference. Assume the missing dimensions. Also, refer the schedule for size of the doors.

    AIM:

          To determine the layout of a residence plan using AutoCAD.

    INTRODUCTION:

    North facing residence layout.

    • As provide an auspicious direction as per vaastu shastra

    To Sketch and draw the residence plan and footings details using Auto CAD software, doing with proper utilities based an vaastu shastra layout .

     LIVING ROOM:

    • Living room should be cluster free and it is the place where the family spends most time together .
    • Living room should face East, North or North-West facing living room is also favourable.
    • Heavy furniture should be kept in the west or south –west direction of the living room.
    • If planning for a mirror in this room, ensure you place in the north wall.

     

    BEDROOM:

    • Never Sleep with your head in the north .
    • Avoid hanging beams in the room to enjoy good health.
    • Use solid wooden beds instead of hollow wrought-iron beds.
    • Paint the bedroom walls in neutral or earthy shades that radiates positive energy.
    • Bedrooms are the place for rest and repose and its good to have soothing wall colours for a peaceful aura

    PROCEDURE:

    STARTING AUTO CAD SOFTWARE,

    START MENU: Auto CAD

     INTERFACE OF AUTO CAD:

    • File name
    • Panel
    • TAB
    • START TAB
    • Visual style control
    • Viewport controls
    • Command line
    • Status bar
    • View cube
    • Navigation bar
    • Drawing area

     Command – Cursorsize (value)

    DIMORDINATE Specific co-ordinate (x,y)

    • Draw – Rectangle – view cube ( Rotate ) XYZ axis
    • Relative co ordinate : choose the line command and specify the first point
    • Specify the next point and more point to make the object an auto cad.
    • Command : OFFSET for wall thickness =0.23m(9’’)
    • Command : TRIM (TR -DOUBLE ENTER) to trim the unneccesary cut lines.
    • Rooms are preferably be square or rectangle.
    • Rooms should be airy, well lit, bright .
    • Centre of the house should be an empty space.
    • To decide the proper room dimensions as per vaastu shastra and proper required dimensions also.
    • Split or separate the room with dimension controls.
    • To provide proper wind flow based window access and opening access.
    • To fix the size of doors and windows opening.
    • To check out the utilities are where they came to decide the cupboard and necessary space for ventilating purpose.
    • To separate and decide each  rooms required of utilities, living room, store room. Bedroom, dining, kitchen, bathroom etc..,
    • To make it an drawing where the utilities are came, proper dimensionally fixed.

     

    RESULT:

    To determined the layout of a residence plan using AutoCAD.

     

    1. Sketch the seating plan for an outdoor canopy. Assume the dimensions for the seating. Also, consider the dimensions in mm.

    AIM :

          To determine the seating plan for an outdoor canopy.

    INTRODUCTION:

    • The seating plan for an outdoor canopy, Start by getting a trap with grommets, or small metal rings, in each corner. Then, lay the tarp out bon the ground, and tie the end of a tent pole to each grommet using nylon rope. Next lift the trap off of the ground, and stick the tent poles into the ground.
    • The term patio cover is often used interchangeably with pergola. Gezobo, A freestanding, octagonal structure with a solid, pitched roof and open sides that provides full shade without obstructing

    PROCEDURE:

    The Options of the circle tool:

    • Center and radius
    • Center and Diameter
    • Two - point
    • Three- point
    • Tangent ,Radius tangent ,Tangent, Tangent.
    • Drawing a circle by specifying the center and the radius.
    • Drawing a circle by specifying the center and the diameter.
    • A circle drawn by using the 2- point option.
    • A circle drawn by using the 3-point option.
    • Drawing a circle tangent to two objects.
    • Drawing a circle tangent to two objects
    • Drawing a circle tangent to three objects.

    To create the circle type of outdoor canopy and make it to circular  table for mid of canopy .

    To make a command - rectangle .

    And using fillet options for the seating utilities of arrangements.

    Result:

                            To determined by the seating plan for an outdoor canopy.

    1. Sketch the part plan for the toilers and utilities room. Consider the outer wall thickness as 300mm and inner wall thickness as 150mm. Also, assume the missing dimension, Texts, dimensions, and hatches are only for references. Also, symbols for toilets and w/c are also for references.

    AIM:

     To determine sketch the part plan for the toilers and utilities room .

    INTRODUCTION:

     To make space for a utility room:

    • Everything in its place: A small room will feel even more cramped if there’s too much clutter,so make a home for you need…
    • Stay neutral….
    • Behind closed doors..
    • Off the wall…
    • Opt for dual- purpose pieces..
    • Choose the right lighting..
    • Stack them up….

     Take to removing the sink or using new cupboards it is possible to create the space so that you can install a toilet into the laundry room. This is a great way to create more space in your house and add functionality as well.

    RESULT:
