Designing Of Fender (NX-CAD)

 

Car fenders play an important role in protecting the vehicle from debris and also contribute to the overall aesthetics of the vehicle. The materials used for fenders include steel, aluminum, and plastic, each with its own unique properties. The manufacturing process for fenders varies depending on the material used. There are several types of fenders, including full, partial, wide, and flared fenders. The design of car fenders continues to evolve, with new materials and manufacturing processes being developed to improve performance and reduce weight.

Mountings are used to attach the fender to the vehicle's body and provide support for the fender. 

 

  • Bumper

 

 

  • A-Pillar

 

  • Sill

 

  • Drip 

  • Baffle

 

 

 

 

 Darts

Darts are added on the longer side of the drip area in order to provide the stiffness and adds strength to the part . This helps the fender to not to vibrate and impact the  forces outside of the fender during motion of the vehicle.

  

                                                           

Conclution

Using NX CAD software designing of Fender is done that are both functional and visually appealing while meeting all the design considerations.
