    AIM:

    To draw the floor plans & sections using the proper dimension techniques & dimension styles to document the project.

    INTRODUCTION:

    Plan & sections are diffrent types of drawing used by architects to graphically represent a building design & construction.A plan drawing is a drawing on a horizontal plane showing a view from above.An Elevation drawing is drawn on a vertical plane showing a verticle depiction.A section drawing is also a vertical depiction but one that cuts through space  showing what lies within.

    Commands are used,

    1. Limits command
    2. Line command
    3. Offset command
    4. Hatch command
    5. Dimlinear command
    6. Dimstyle command
    7. Units command
    8. Extend command
    9. Fillet command
    10. Trim command
    11. Join command
    12. Line weight command
    13. Line type command
    14. Object snap command

    PROCEDURE:

    Procedure on 1st 2nd & 3rd floor plan,

    1. Start Autocad & set the limits using the limits command.
    2. Next we have to draw the line with the length of 16388mm from down to up horizontally.
    3. Next we have to draw the line from the previous line with the length of 12150mm horizontally forwards.
    4. Next we have again draw the line from the previous line with the length of 16388mm downwards vertically.
    5. Draw the line from the last line to first line to form the rectangle.
    6. Draw the rooms with help of line command & trim command,with the lengths given in figures.
    7. Draw the bedroom with the length of 3100mm & width of 3100mm
    8. Draw the another bed room with the size of 3225mm*3200mm.
    9. Draw the drawing /kit/dining room with the size of 2550mm*3775mm*3250mm
    10. Draw two toilets with the sizes of 1250mm*2400mm.
    11. Draw the another bed room in the part c with the size of 3000mm & 3225mm.
    12. Draw the drawing/Living with the size of 4475mm*2950mm.
    13. Draw the bedroom in the part B with the size of 3225mm*3050mm.
    14. Draw the drawing/Living with the size of 4475mm*2863mm.
    15. Draw the toilet room with size of 1250mm*2150mm.
    16. Draw the bed room with the size of 3100*3300mm.
    17. Draw the balcony  with the size of 1375mm*1100mm.
    18. Draw the bedroom in the Part A with the size of 3300mm*2888mm.
    19. Draw the toilet room with the size of 2275mm*1225mm.
    20. Draw the Dra/Kit/Din room with size of 6600mm*2550mm*2563mm.
    21. Finally, Draw the staircase with the size of 3200mm*2400,the tread is 250mm riser is 143.75 & 158.33mm.
    22. We have to trim the unnessary lines & objects.
    23. Draw the columns with the size of 250mm*350mm.
    24. The columns are placed where ever they required in the floor plan.
    25. Specify the column layer with the skyblue colour.


    Draw the windows & doors with sizes are shown below,

    • W1=900*1200mm 
    • W=600*1200mm
    • W2=1000*1200mm
    • W3=1500*1200mm
    • W4=500*500mm
    • D=1000*2100mm
    • D1=700*2100mm
    • D2=900mm*2100mm

    Indicate the room using the single text command.
    We have to provide the dimensions for the given floor plan using the dimlinear command.
    Draw the section lines & also indicates the doors & windows.

    RESULT:


    SECTION-AA PROCEDURE:

    1. Draw the line with the length of 8900mm horizontaly forward.
    2. Draw the another line from the previous line vertically with the length 1mm.
    3. Draw the line from the previous line with the length of 11000mm horizontally backwards from the previously draw line.
    4. Draw the line from the first line 7 & Last line we drawn previously.
    5. Take offset to the particular lines with the given offset values.
    6. The inner wall offsets are 125mm & outer wall thickness is 250mm.
    7. Ground level thickness is 200mm & 150mm.
    8. Draw the windows in their requires places in 1st ,2nd & 3rd floor.
    9. Draw the stairs with tread of 250mm & the riser with 143.75 & 158.33mm.
    10. Line type as dashed lines & set it to the particular value of the dashed lines for the staircase.
    11. Draw the remaining parts,we draw the parapet wall & water tank ( O.H.T) at the top of the building.
    12. Draw the doors at their required places in the first,second & third floors.
    13. Draw the windows & sunshades in their particular places.
    14. Select layers & make them to the diffrent colours for diffrent in the section.
    15. The dimensions where ever they are required in the section drawing.
    16. Select the single text command to indicate the parts in the section plan.
    17. Draw the section line in the section plan.

    RESULT:


     SECTION-BB PROCEDURE:

    1. Draw the line with the length of 11000mm horizontally forward.
    2. Draw another line from the previous line vertically with the length 16388mm.
    3. Draw the line from the previous line with the length of 11000mm horizontally backwards from the previously draw the line.
    4. Draw the line from the first line & last line.
    5. Offset to the particular lines with the given offset values.
    6. The inner wall offset are 125mm & outer wall thickness is 250mm
    7. Ground level thickness is 200mm & 150mm.
    8. Draw the windows in their requires places in 1st,2nd & 3rd floor.
    9. Draw the windows in their requires places.
    10. Draw the sunshades in the upside of the window to protect from the sunlight.
    11. Select the different colour layers for diffrent parts in the section plan.
    12. Give the dimensions where ever they are required.
    13. Text to denote the parts in the section plan using the single text command.

    RESULT:
