    Aim :

The final submission must include the input file, animation, and a report.
    - Since this is a quite difficult and involved project, students are advised to log their debugging process and include it in the report. The log is a description of the solution process and challenges encountered along the way.
    - The numbering approach should be described in the report.
    - Usage of mass scaling is encouraged and the trial and error should be included in the report as well.

    Solution :

We should follow these guidlines while performing any crash simulation :

1.Any side of any bend should have minimum of 3 elements in order to capture the crash affect on it properly

    2. Since tria or tetra elements have the highest rigidity it is recommened to avoid these elements as they may lead to instability.

3.If the thickness is less than 1.5 mm we can use 2 intergration points otherwise we should use 5 intergration points.

    4. SPC on rigid bodies should be avoided as it may lead to instability .

5.We should the thickness near the contact region in order to avoid instability .

5.Contact energy should be positive if it is negative it indicates that there is initial penetration which has to be removed.

    Case Preparation :

    We have the following :

The following parts are there :

Now we will define the parts with the section as well as material as shown below :

For the bird part we will use the following material card :

We will define the material card for the turbine as shown below :

We have applied the following material card for the casing :

We will define the material card for the turbine casing as shown below :

We have applied the following curve data :

Now we will create section cards as shown below :

We have created the shell section for the following parts :

Now we will define parts in another k file as shown below :

Now we will create the main file where these files will be added :

Now we will create the contacts as shown below :

Contact between hub and blade :

Contact Between bird and blade :

Contact Between casing and blade :

Contact between bird and casing :

    Self contact of blade :

    Boundary Conditions :

We are fixing the casing in all dofs as shown below :

    Initial Velocity :
We have applied the intial velocity to the bird as shown below :

Angular Velocity for the blades :

FOLLOWING CONTROL CARDS ARE APPLIED  :

    Results :
