        a. Multi-Unit Residential Apartment
        b. Office Buildings
        c. School

Ans:School building

Q2:Assume reasonable assumptions for geographic and location details for your project modeling. Based on assumptions and type of structure selected identify the modeling requirements from NBC

Ans:For school building the height is 3.6m i.e.12feet

It is not in cold region

The room size should be more than 900ft sq.

Q3:Using the structural model, include the following components based on the type of structure selected
        a. Foundation – Isolated / Wall/Matt Foundation
        b. Columns
        c. Beams Connected to Columns
        d. Roof Framing/ Truss
        e. Floor / Decks
        f. Floor Openings for Elevators and Stairs

Aim and introduction:Using structural model components are selected

Procedure:

Steps:

  • Go to the Revit
  • New file
  • Select structural template
  • By using structural tab
  • Draw the levels and grids
  • Foundation is drafted
  • Columns
  • Beams
  • Roof
  • Floor
  • Elevators and stairs

Results:Using structural model components are selected

Q4: a. Wall Layout with appropriate material and finishing
        b. Exterior façade with fancy finish
        c. Interior partition walls to size rooms
        d. Components to add details to a room ( Desk, Chair, Lighting, Plumbing fixtures)
        e. Add components such as stairs Elevators
        f. Have at-least one side of the building with curtain walls and glass panels
        g. Include interior and exterior lighting fixtures
        h. Place proper topographic components from outside ( Trees, Parking, Plants) to add details to the model

Aim and introduction:By using architecture tab draw the components

Procedure:

Steps:

  • Go to the architecture
  • By components
  • Load family
  • And add the components
  • Lightings
  • Tables
  • Trees etc.,

Results:By using architecture tab draw the components

5) Provide a set of drawings in an architectural and structural model to list the following details with categories and appropriate sheet templates included
        a. Floor Plans with Annotations
        b. Elevations
        c. Sections

Aim and introduction:Showing floor plans, elevations and sections

Procedure:

Steps:

  • Go to the property browser select the views
  • For floor plans get floor views
  • For  elevations in all the direction get the elevations
  • For sections go to thew view tab
  • Add sections

Results:Showing floor plans, elevations and sections

6) Using the Rendering settings, Render images of the 3D model produced and include the rendered images to the drawing sheets
        a. Rendering from interior rooms
        b. Rendering from out showing topographic features
        c. Rendering through structural framing

Aim and introduction:Rendering the images

Procedure:

Steps:

  • Select the views
  • Go to the render
  • And select the modes
  • Give Render
  • Then it will get in Rendering gallery

Results:Rendering the images

Q7: Print the set of drawing sheets created and submit the drawings from the architecture and structure model

Aim and introduction:To template the drawings in sheet

Procedure:

Steps:

  • Go to the sheets
  • And select the view
  • For sheets we have to insert the structural and architectural model.

Results:To template the drawings in sheet
